I wanted to post about Athena FO earlier, but just as I started typing out a blog post, I knocked out for about 2 days, and after that, my time's been spent on working on OP, hence the lack of an update. On the whole I was really quite happy with how the FO turned out - the planning process and carrying it out wasn't so smooth but seeing the effort put in bearing fruit is really quite a sight to behold and something I was really happy about. I was really tired after the FO, though; just went home and crashed for the next 2 days. Like literally - I slept I think 19 hours on the 6th x.xAnd now OP's over as well! FINALLY PW IS OVER OMG. No more Chinese (I seriously do hope so karma please don't bite me in the ass please) and no more PW. I feel happy yay but it's really more a kind of relieved happy rather than the exuberant, going totally crazy kind of happy. I guess that's reserved for end of As lol. Lots of stuff coming in the next few days! Hope I'll have fun :D (I also just realised that for the 2 weeks before FO there were worksessions practically everyday lol. Now that there finally aren't any I can start to unwind a little wheee) |

Aha there's finally time for me to post again! This week has been similarly tiring as the 2 weeks before. Earlier, the events that were making life so hectic were Fac Breakfast and Grad Day, both of which went pretty smoothly I guess. This week was largely taken up by Fac Outing and more specifically, on the banner that we did which WILL BE REVEALED TOMORROW! So exciting. I just hope the morning announcement is at least, you know, no cold show; hopefully it'll even be well received. Ah so nervous for tomorrow hope everything goes well Tuesday was quite a crazy day - after I think painting the banner and stuff I made a last minute decision to go join S66 at LAN with Samuel lol and after that I made another crazy last minute choice to go stayover at Tim Long's house with like 7, 8 other people? And it wasn't a bad decision I think - the sharing of stuff was really quite interesting. I think it's quite fascinating to hearing what others think and feel inside, on a deeper level - it just help your understanding of the person so much more. And the stayover was I guess a good avenue for that. Oh but not getting any sleep and then going home was crazy - I swear I have never ever felt so stoned and almost dead out of not getting enough sleep before in my life. It was quite a surreal experience actually, being barely awake at all and standing at the bus stop waiting for a bus while seeing the sky brighten up. It's kind of like a paradox - the day was beginning with fresh and enticing possibilities but my consciousness was fading and not giving me the opportunity to partake in any of that, let alone stay awake enough to even reason properly. But the nap at home refreshed me to an extent I guess. After all, I proceeded to Serangoon and decided to walk to Xinren's house from Nex not knowing how goddamn far his house was lol. Then... more FC work! Fun but tiring. And playing with Cotton (the fluffy cute as hell dog) - damn awesome. I think that's mainly it for this week. Nothing else was very memorable - PW for example is just shitty as usual lol. Okay I think I shall go to sleep now and hope that everything goes well tomorrow! Yay. |

So this is the first time I haven't knocked out shortly after reaching home and washing up this week. It's been crazy - rehearsal on Monday, worksessions on Tuesday and Wednesday, and Grad Day on Thursday and Friday. Plus there was a need to do PW throughout the whole week. But with refocused direction I remain optimistic about future prospects (:I recently got into MGMT and they are good! For people who listen to indie stuff check it out yo |

Okay so Fac Breakfast has ended! This week has already been quite a hectic one, can't imagine what next week will be like, with FC stuff, choreo, PW, and Grad Day rehearsals all in one week x.xPW lessons are boring to the max, but luckily after the PW lessons on Monday and Tuesday, there was FOS :D which was really interesting to watch to say the least. I played street soccer after the competition on Monday for the first time since I dunno how long, and omg it was super fun! Much more fun than the last few times when I played when I ended up injuring myself easily, which is really kinda lame lol, dunno why I'm so prone to injury. I was supposed to go support FOS on Tuesday too but it was my parents' wedding anniversary and so I got to go to Universal Studios to celebrate and it's pretty awesome! I heard stuff about the theme park saying that it's not really very nice but I think it's really quite well done thematically and it also exudes a kind of charm through its decor that Escape obviously can't compete with. The rides are better too, though they aren't too varied. The best would be the Mummy and the Battlestar Galactica rides (ESPECIALLY THE BLUE ONE). Those are really pretty good, though I'm no expert on rollercoasters having only been to I think 3 theme parks in my entire life ): That's kind of a sad statistic isn't it The sabbaticals this week were quite interesting I suppose. Fusion hiphop was pretty fun though the pace the instructor taught at was quite fast considering that half the class were new to learning hiphop choreo. Beatbox was quite interesting though but not really easy, and additionally, staying in the classroom for the whole day sucked a bit. Okay what else is there this week? Well there's Fac Breakfast I guess which I think turned out pretty well! I think that there's not much point elaborating on this lol, I mean, I just thought the event went without any major hitches or anything and it was pretty okay, and that's about it. Preparing for it was fun but I gotta say it was tiring, with all the moving tables and benches and buying logs and painting banners and stuff. But I suppose it paid off!! Which is great :D Today there was also the relationship talk thing. Well, it was mildly interesting. It was very conservative and offered little sophisticated view of what makes relationships tick, though. I got a sense that it really generalised things way too much. Things are different for each couple and offering a standardised guideline hoping that everybody sticks by it would be an unrealistic and optimistic expectation on the part on the facilitators. Like telling everybody to wait cause it'd somehow end up better? How more vague and uncertain could that be? Surely, the experience can't be the same across the board. Another thing was that after reading Women in Love my understanding of relationships has kind of changed a bit and the one presented today was nowhere as captivating and as psychologically complex as the one offered in a book that is almost like 80 years old or something. So the whole session, while entertaining at times, was kind of sian in another way because I didn't feel some of the advice was very useful. Well so that's this week in a nutshell. Next week will be crazy! I seriously hope I don't drop dead halfway next week ___________________________________ On another note I am kind of ticked off by some things at this point Close your eyes off to the night There ain't nothing besides what you know It's all there, black and white, and you know best, of course, so just act however you please Noble and upright, working tirelessly to make things better, at least It's for the greater good, you see So just spout lies and cheat your way out cause you're always right, without a doubt Okay that was pretty shitty but I think it sort of got the point across at least |

I don't know why I thought this, but I believed there would finally be time after Promos to lepak for a while for the first time since like the week before blocks. But sigh of course that wouldn't be the case. There's PW, Chinese As, Fac Breakfast, Fac Outing (planning + performance), Fac dance, and maybe Dance Camp to do things for. So many things to do, yet so little time to just relax and unwind. Today really served as a reminder of, firstly, the things that need to be done in the coming 2 months, and some things that I should really keep in mind. Can't be so no morals academically anymore.Nevertheless I'll work hard and not give in to the pressure and collapse or something. Hahaha. |
